The Line Assembly
Bringing writing workshops, art, and co-working events to your community
About
The Line Assembly is an event planning and collaborative arts initiative that brings together local working artists and small businesses to create vibrant, in-person workshops, classes, events, and co-working hours. By partnering with local venues—particularly restaurants and cafes—we activate their spaces during off-hours, transforming them into hubs of creativity, connection, and community.
This model benefits everyone: artists get access to inspiring, affordable places to work and share their craft; venues earn additional revenue and visibility without disrupting normal operations; and the wider community gains access to meaningful cultural programming that otherwise wouldn’t exist.

about the organizer
Hi, I’m Mesha —writer, event producer, and former bartender turned arts organizer. After 20 years in the service industry and two degrees in writing, I founded a project that brings local artists and small businesses together to create in-person workshops, co-working spaces, and creative events in underused venues.
This project was born out of a realization: there’s an abundance of beautiful, underused space in local restaurants and venues—and a painful lack of accessible, in-person writing and arts programming outside of academia. I saw the potential to bridge that gap.
At its heart, this work is about reclaiming physical space for creativity and connection. In a time when isolation has become normalized, I believe we need to gather—in real life, in shared spaces—now more than ever.
Whether you're looking to take a class, lead one, or host a residency in your venue, I invite you to join us in building a more connected, creative, and collaborative local community.
